When I found out I was pregnant, one of the things I looked forward to the most was decorating a nursery.
Today I’m sharing 14 room ideas that are hot right now for little ones.
Before you ask – did I know that the baby won’t actually be in their nursery for a few months? For me, making a space for my baby was a way of making it real – that’s her room with her things. I’ve loved shopping and creating a space for us. I love going into the room and sitting in the rocking chair and thinking about her being out of my belly and nursing her.
Instagram was a great source of inspiration – so today I’m sharing my finds.
1) Knot Pillow

This little guy is an instagram star and pops up everywhere. Apart from being super cute, the lamp has a dimmer and works really well as a night light for a child’s room.
6) Name banner
I remember having a name plate as a child – they are a great keep sake and a fun way to announce your child’s name.

We all know that Kmart got cool this year when it comes to homewares and their children’s range is no exception. This little cloud pillow has found its way into hundreds of kids rooms. At just $9 it is easy to see why.
8) Animal rug
With fans world wide, this rug pops up all over the place, in lion, tiger and bear. versions The cartoon, graphic print is fun and it works for both boys and girls rooms. At home in a colourful room as well as monochrome.

9) Paper storage bag
Its no secret that kids collect stuff and lots of it! Toys, blankets and books. A cheap and stylish way to hide the mess and see your floor is to use paper storage bags – tough and with graphic prints and colours to match the room.
